Hiking/Backpacking
by lynneh
One of the most beautiful hikes I've taken! Wallace Falls State Park is a good place for families, with well-laid out & marked trails, viewpoints. The last little bit to the top is a bit of a scramble.

Trail head to the Woody Trail
A good reminder!
Beautiful, lush, rich wet hemlock forest
Roxie the dog asking, do I REALLY have to stay on this leash? :)
Interesting fish totem along the trail
Trail crosses and goes along the Wallace River for a ways.
The moss-shrouded trees in the park gave the hike an enchanted feeling
A dream-like view of the Skykomish River valley out to the Olympic Mountains
Middle Wallace Falls - the longest of the falls in the park
Lower Wallace Falls has a view point and picnic area
